After Care Facility

The Melpark Primary After care has been out-sourced to Caroline Mataga, Priscilla Mutswairo and Concilia Malinga (all full time staff at the school).

At the aftercare, the Managers strive to provide an environment where the children feel secure, safe and loved. Children are assisted with homework, and are given personal attention where it is needed. Once homework has been completed the children engage in a number of activities such as additional reading, colouring and art, puzzles, and games.

Children need to carry additional lunch if they are going to aftercare.

TIMES: 14:00 till 17:00

COST: R35 per afternoon

If a parent collects their child late, there will be an additional R25 charged.

VENUE

The aftercare facility is on the 3rd Avenue premises of the school where the grade Rs are housed. There are 2 classrooms available for children to use for homework. There is also a kitchen and dining area for feeding, and ablution facilities.

TIMES

The aftercare runs from 14:00 until 17:30. A fine will be charged for every hour or part thereof, that children are collected after 17:30.

FEES

Fees are payable in advance. If the account is not paid timeously, the child will not be allowed to return until all outstanding debt has been settled.
Fees are payable in cash.
Fees are charged either per month, or per day where After-care is provided on an ad-hoc basis. Prices are not negotiable.
