About Our School
Melpark Primary is a government school in the leafy suburb of Melville. It caters for learners from Grade R to grade 7. The language of instruction is English and the first additional language is Afrikaans. Zulu is introduced as an Incremental Indigenous Language for Grade 1 and 2.
There are about 700 learners who are guided through their foundation years by the staff who are all qualified, experienced and committed. It has a nurturing, supportive environment to provide the learners with every opportunity to achieve academic, cultural, and sporting excellence.
